Now for the meat of this painting. During lockdown I have been going through a bit of a journey of higher levels of self discovery than ever before and making this sort of art has been transformative. During my journey these eyes appeared to me during a transcendental meditation session and I haven’t really stopped drawing them since. To me they are the eyes of the universe, but with the shape of lungs, as though the universe itself was seeing and breathing through each and every one of us. There are things I gleaned which I am sure they would put me in the loony bin for, and rather than shy away from that “normal” world I have dived headfirst into the weird side of life.

The text you see on the painting is very much stream of consciousness thoughts, as though I was laying down a journal page on a canvas ready to go out into the wider world, allowing me to focus on pouring the ideas out of my brain and out into the world.

I would also love to hear what you interpret these pieces as aswell, because it stems from a different place of consciousness than my own and that has been my greatest desire in life, to understand consciousness and the human condition from different people.
